What would you guess the average American worker makes in a year? Your financial reality may not be reality. This is the question professor Nina Strohminger, University of Pennsylvania’s Warton School of Business, asked her business students recently. The professor tweeted that 25% of her class guessed the average American made a six-figure salary. “One of them thought it was 800k,” tweeted Strohminger. The actual average income of an American worker is $56,000. The Twittersphere went crazy criticizing the 25% that got it wrong. I think they got it right. Find out why.
